OnePlus intends to broaden its range of wearable devices with the forthcoming OnePlus Watch Lite, which will be an affordable smartwatch that complements the brand's expanding ecosystem. After several weeks of hints and listings on various local websites, the brand has confirmed that the Watch Lite will be launched in Europe next month during a global event. It is designed to be a budget-friendly option compared to OnePlus’ high-end wearables and is anticipated to include basic health and fitness functionalities, along with a design that aligns with the brand's recent products. OnePlus has officially stated that the OnePlus Watch Lite will be released in Europe on December 17, alongside the OnePlus 15R mobile phone. The new smartwatch has been featured on multiple OnePlus localized websites, such as those in the UK and the Netherlands. It has been recently hinted at as the “OnePlus New Watch.” This model is set to be the company's first budget-friendly smartwatch.
The OnePlus Watch Lite showcases a silver body, a rotating crown, a side button, and a light-colored silicone strap with orange threads. While OnePlus hasn't shared all the details about its specifications, a glimpse of the watch face suggests it may support features like step counting, heart rate monitoring, calorie counting, and environmental data including temperature, UV exposure, humidity, and wind speed. Initial guesses suggest it might have a slim design similar to the Oppo Watch S, but this has not yet been verified by OnePlus. The smartwatch will be launched together with the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 during a global showcase. Both the smartphone and tablet will be available in North America, Europe, and India, while the Watch Lite may initially be exclusive to Europe based on the official hints.
European customers who subscribe to the company’s mailing list will receive a discount of £50 (about Rs. 5,900)/€50 (about Rs. 5,000) on the Watch Lite or a chance to win a OnePlus 15R. Meanwhile, the microsite for the OnePlus 15R in India only displays the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad 2. The company has not yet disclosed the cost of the OnePlus Watch Lite. OnePlus is expected to provide more information about the smartwatch and other upcoming items in the weeks before the release.
