Analysis

Acharya Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

Acharya starts on a dull note as there would be nothing exciting and interesting happening. The narration is slow paced and things change slowly as the story is narrated. The action episodes in the first half are well framed and shot. Chiranjeevi shines in his role and the lavish visuals make the film colorful. The interval block is just outstanding. On the whole, the first half of Acharya is decent.

The second half of Acharya is a huge misfire as the film misses the needed clarity. The basic plot is sidelined and Koratala brings up too many sub-plots that leave the audience confused. The climax is shot well and the rest of the film will not appeal to the audience. The episodes of Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi together are not up to the mark. However, the action episodes are well shot. The last song Bhale Banjara too will not impress the fans big time. The second half of Acharya should have been better by miles.

Performance

Megastar Chiranjeevi tried to deliver his best but he missed the needed grace in the film. His screen presence was unnatural truly though he worked hard to impress the audience. Ram Charan is the major highlight of the film and he is subtle, emotional and powerful throughout the film. Pooja Hegde looked good as Neelambari and Sonu Sood was ruthless. Jisshu Sengupta as Rathod did his part well. Ajay, Vennela Kishore, Nassar, Banerjee, Satyadev are good in their roles. Sangeetha and Regina made no impact in the songs.

Acharya has too many mistakes with the script. The entire screenplay in the second half is a misfire. The major plot was ignored. The dialogues of Koratala Siva too failed to make an impact. The songs and the background score are the other major disappointments of the film. The cinematography work is good and a massive temple town set is constructed which was decent. The production values are grand. Koratala Siva fails badly for the first time with Acharya.

Final Word

Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan delivered their best but Acharya is a bland attempt and it will end up as a disappointment.
