There are speculations that OnePlus is preparing to release its next-generation tablet in India shortly. Sources claim this new device may be named either OnePlus Pad 2 Pro or OnePlus Pad 3. While the official name remains undisclosed, it is anticipated that its specifications will closely resemble those of the recently launched Oppo Pad 4 Pro in China. This tablet utilizes the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and sports a 13.2-inch screen. Reports suggest that the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro could make its debut in the next few months, with recent leaks indicating that it will come with various enhancements, such as a superior chipset, a larger display, and extended battery life. Expectations are high for its introduction in China by June 2025.

Before diving into the specifics of the forthcoming OnePlus tablet, it's important to understand why we believe it might be a rebranded version of the Oppo Pad 4 Pro. Given that OnePlus and Oppo are essentially sister companies, they frequently offer similar devices under different branding. The Oppo Find N and the OnePlus Fold exemplify this practice well. Moreover, the OnePlus Pad 2 itself was a rebranded variant of the Oppo Pad 3, reflecting a consistent pattern between the two brands since their inception. Therefore, it stands to reason that the imminent OnePlus tablet could mirror the Oppo Pad 4 Pro.

Examining the features of the Oppo Pad 4 Pro gives insight into what to expect. It boasts a 13.2-inch display with a resolution of 3,392 by 2,400 pixels (aspect ratio 7:5) and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The brightness ranges from 600 nits under standard usage to a peak of 900 nits in enhanced brightness mode, along with support for DC dimming. The device is driven by the high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, offering storage options of either 256GB or 512GB via UFS 4.0. RAM choices consist of 8GB or 12GB using LPDDR5X (with a clock speed of 4,266MHz), as well as a 16GB option employing faster LPDDR5T (4,800MHz). It is powered by a substantial 12,140mAh battery capable of 67W fast charging through its USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 5Gbps). Additionally, it includes Wi-Fi 7 (be) and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity.

In spite of its robust specifications, this tablet remains remarkably slim at just 5.97mm thick and weighs 675g. It integrates quad speakers for an enhanced audio experience during media playback and gaming. For those focused on productivity, an optional keyboard with a trackpad can be utilized, optimizing the multitasking functionality provided by ColorOS 15's split-screen feature. The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is generating considerable excitement ahead of its anticipated release later this year. While formal confirmation is yet to be announced, speculation regarding its pricing in India has surfaced.

Initial projections suggest that the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro will carry a price tag ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000. This marks a significant increase compared to its predecessors, with the original OnePlus Pad launching at Rs 37,999 and the Pad 2 at Rs 39,999. Such a price shift indicates a clear movement towards more premium components and flagship-level capabilities for the Pro model.
