India is playing with South Africa and the five-match T20 series headed for a draw after the decider match was called off due to heavy rain in Bengaluru last night. While South Africa won the first two matches, Team India bounced back and won the next two matches. The last match that was scheduled for yesterday took place in Bengaluru and it was stalled due to heavy rain. South Africa won the toss and the team wanted India to bat first. India scored 28 runs in 3.3 overs and lost two early wickets. Ishan Kishan (7) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (10) lost their wickets for Lungi Ngidi. Rishabh Pant was in the crease when the rain started and the match never resumed.

The series has been declared as a draw as there was no reserve day planned for the T20 series. Indian ace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar was named as the Player of the Series. The match was initially delayed by 48 minutes and despite great drainage system for Chinnaswamy Stadium, the huge downpour canceled the match. Both India and South Africa have been disappointed because of the rain. Team India played with the same eleven throughout the series and the team lost the toss in all the matches. South Africa holds a record as the team never lost a T20 series in India.
