Why Hydrotherapy Works Wonders for Body and Mind? March 21, 2026 20:54

As the heat rises, the body works extra hard to cool down while fighting off dehydration, tiredness, and slow thinking. This leads to a common summer exhaustion that impacts everything from how energized we feel to our mood. More and more health specialists are looking to hydrotherapy as an easy and effective method to combat this seasonal pressure by utilizing water not only to chill the body but also to bring back inner balance. “When temperatures go up, the human body struggles to keep steady, resulting in heat stress and tiredness," says Dr Narendra K Shetty, Chief Wellness Officer at Kshemavana Naturopathy and Yoga Centre in Bengaluru. Supporting this idea, Swati Gupta, Director and Head of Creative Development at Bodycraft, mentions, “Summer affects not only the skin but also our overall energy levels. " Hydrotherapy mainly involves using water of different temperatures and pressures to provoke bodily reactions. Dr Shetty notes that it operates by transferring heat and providing buoyancy, which helps improve blood flow, relieve muscle tightness, and assist the body in resetting itself. During hot weather, blood vessels expand, heart rate speeds up, and cortisol levels might stay high due to ongoing stress. Hydrotherapy breaks this pattern. “Water has special temperature qualities that help with blood flow and regulating body heat," Dr Shah suggests, emphasizing that even basic methods can enhance oxygen circulation and minimize sluggishness. The buoyancy effect is also very important. With gravitational pressure on joints reduced by as much as 90 percent, muscles can relax completely, putting the body into a healing ‘rest and digest’ condition. Some of the best hydrotherapy methods are quite easy. Immersing in cold water – between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius – is among the quickest ways to lower body temperature. Even specific cooling techniques, like soaking feet or applying cold packs to pulse points, can provide instant relief. “Cooling the feet or wrists can trigger the body's natural cooling response," Dr Shah explains. At the same time, Gupta highlights regular salon and home practices: “A proper pedicure or a cool rinse can make the entire body feel refreshed. " Cold towel wraps and brief cooling sessions can also manage quick heat surges without stressing the body. Switching between warm and cold water, called contrast showers, is another very effective approach. This method boosts circulation through a ‘vasopump’ effect, enhancing blood movement while reducing tiredness. Hydrotherapy does more than just cool you down. It helps adjust the nervous system. Being in cool water can activate the vagus nerve, allowing the body to shift from a stressful “fight or flight" response to a more relaxing, restorative state. From an Ayurvedic point of view, Dr Pandey stresses the importance of combining hydrotherapy with mindful habits. “Practices like eating balanced meals and staying well-hydrated improve the benefits of external therapies," he notes, adding that simple things like herbal baths or oil massages can enhance relaxation and boost overall energy. Hydrotherapy shows that achieving wellness doesn't have to be complicated. Whether it's a quick cold shower, a calming foot soak, or a structured contrast routine, these water-based practices provide a practical solution for dealing with summer fatigue.

Natanz Nuclear Facility Hit in Iran Airstrike March 21, 2026 20:33

Iran's Natanz nuclear enrichment site was struck by an air raid on Saturday, as reported by the official news agency Mizan, which noted there was no release of radiation from the location. This attack occurred as the ongoing fighting in Western Asia reaches its fourth week, with no signs of de-escalation. Natanz, which is Iran's main uranium enrichment center, had already been attacked earlier during this conflict, with satellite photos revealing damage to multiple buildings. At that time, the United Nations' nuclear monitoring agency stated that the attack had "no radiological consequences. " Situated roughly 220 kilometers southeast of Tehran, this facility has been targeted in previous conflicts as well, including Israeli assaults during the 2025 Iran-Israel war and earlier operations by the US. The latest attack comes amidst unclear signals from Washington. US President Donald Trump mentioned on Friday that he was thinking about "winding down" military activities in the area. However, the US is also strengthening its military presence by sending in three more amphibious assault ships and about 2,500 Marines. Trump's comments came after an Iranian warning to strike leisure and tourist areas worldwide, raising concerns about a potential escalation. Concurrently, the US government has decided to relieve pressure on energy markets by lifting sanctions on Iranian oil that is already on ships since rising crude prices are affecting global markets and causing fluctuations in US stocks. Meanwhile, the situation on the ground is getting worse. Israel claimed that Iran launched new missiles early Saturday, while Saudi Arabia announced it intercepted 20 drones in a matter of hours over its eastern region, which is crucial for oil infrastructure. This escalation occurred just a day after Israeli airstrikes targeted Tehran during Nowruz celebrations for the Persian New Year, overshadowing what is usually a joyful time. With continued attacks on essential infrastructure, including nuclear sites, the conflict seems to be entering a more perilous and prolonged phase. The United Nations' nuclear oversight agency mentioned that it is looking into reports from Iran that the Natanz nuclear site was struck during the ongoing tension with the United States and Israel. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director Rafael Grossi called for caution, warning of the dangers these strikes could bring. He emphasized the importance of avoiding any situations that might lead to a nuclear incident. The IAEA has been notified by Iran that the Natanz nuclear facility was attacked today. According to the agency, "No rise in off-site radiation levels has been detected," in a message shared on X.

Putin Offered to Ditch Iran if US Cut Off Ukraine? March 21, 2026 18:42

Moscow has rejected a news story that suggested the Kremlin offered to stop sharing intelligence with Iran in exchange for the US halting its intelligence support to Ukraine about Russia. A report from the US media outlet Politico stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin's representative Kirill Dmitriev had discussed this proposal during a meeting with Trump administration representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Miami last week. The US, which has been providing intelligence to Ukraine since Russia invaded in February 2022, turned down the proposal, according to Politico, which quoted two sources familiar with the US-Russia talks. However, Dmitriev called the report "false" in a message posted on X on Friday. Republican lawmaker Anna Paulina Luna criticized Politico, claiming it serves as a "mouthpiece for the pro-war machine in Ukraine. " She said, "They lack access to the White House or any info about internal conversations or peace talks with Russia. Ignore their efforts to heighten tensions between Russia and the United States," she posted on X. Earlier this month, The Washington Post, an American newspaper, reported that Russia had shared important intelligence with Iran during its conflict with the US and Israel. The information included the positions of US warships and planes in the Middle East. Nevertheless, the Kremlin denied this claim. Since the war began on February 28, Russia has provided humanitarian aid but has not publicly commented on any assistance given to Iran. Iran has become a key ally for Russia throughout the Ukraine conflict. At the beginning of the war, the Islamic Republic reportedly sent drones to Moscow to attack Ukrainian cities. Last week, the White House stated that President Donald Trump would not be "pleased" if Russia was sharing information with Iran during the conflict in the Middle East. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt mentioned in a briefing, "The president and his special envoy (Steve) Witkoff have both expressed that they have communicated to Russia that they would not approve of such activities if happening, and they hope it is not occurring. " Trump also remarked that it was irrelevant whether Russia had given Iran information to assist in targeting US military personnel and assets. He told reporters on March 8, "Looking at what’s happened to Iran in the last week, if they are receiving information, it’s not very helpful to them. " Witkoff, who has been involved in US discussions with both Russia and Iran recently, stated that Moscow should be believed when it denies sharing intelligence with Tehran. "I’m not an intelligence officer, so I can’t provide an answer," Witkoff replied to CNBC when asked about Russia’s intelligence-sharing activities.

Donald Trump Plans to Break Iran's Grip on Hormuz March 20, 2026 19:30

United States President Donald Trump is said to be contemplating options to take control of or blockade Iran’s Kharg Island as a means to persuade Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, as reported by Axios on Friday. The report indicates that this strategy is part of a larger initiative by the Trump administration to challenge Iran’s dominance over this crucial shipping route, through which approximately twenty percent of the globe’s oil supply travels. “We need around a month to weaken the Iranians further with strikes, take the island, and then gain leverage for negotiations," a source knowledgeable about the White House’s thoughts shared with the news outlet. Should this action be approved, it will necessitate a considerable escalation in US military presence. Three separate Marine units are currently being deployed to the area, and officials reveal that the White House and Pentagon are contemplating sending additional troops, although a final choice has not yet been reached. “He wants Hormuz to be open. If taking Kharg Island is necessary to achieve that, then it will happen. If he opts for a coastal invasion, that will occur too. However, a decision on this has not been finalized," a high-ranking official in the administration told Axios, while another emphasized that sending ground troops is still being evaluated. Kharg Island is located about 30 kilometers off the coast of Iran and plays a vital role in the nation's oil export system, handling about ninety percent of its crude oil shipments. It was hit by US airstrikes last Saturday. In the meantime, experts caution that taking the island could heighten tensions and involve serious dangers. Rear Admiral (Ret.) Mark Montgomery expressed to Axios that seizing Kharg could put US soldiers at risk without ensuring that Iran would reopen the strait under conditions favorable to Washington. “If we take Kharg Island, they’ll cut off production on their end. It’s not as if we control their oil output," he remarked. Montgomery proposed that other options, like using naval escorts to safeguard tankers, might be more effective after conducting additional operations to weaken Iran’s capabilities.

Ram Gopal Varma Reviews Dhurandhar: The Revenge March 20, 2026 18:05

One day after the release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, director Ram Gopal Varma posted a lengthy and passionate message on social media, praising the film and declaring it a significant moment for Indian film. In his remarks, Varma labeled the movie as a "horror" not for viewers but for those in filmmaking who still depend on loud, exaggerated, and predictable cinema. Starting his message, Varma stated, "The @Dhurandhar2 is a NIGHTMARE. It’s a nightmare for all directors who have made their success and wealth from silly, overblown films. Movies that required leaving your brain behind. Films filled with NOISE and OVERLOAD that will soon be on life support, gasping for air." He proceeded to mention that this film would disturb those who keep showcasing larger-than-life, unstoppable heroes. He believes Dhurandhar 2 introduces a different kind of main character - one who has flaws, is vulnerable, and is motivated by actions instead of glorification. He expressed, "Dhurandar2 will terrify every filmmaker who continues to idolize the perfect hero. In Dhurandhar2, @RanveerOfficial defeated all those heroes who never bleed or feel pain, and then, on the remains of those outdated heroes, he created a genuine hero, flawed, yet dangerous and unpredictable. His heroism comes from what he does, not from being forced on us with loud music. " By contrasting this new hero with traditional hero-centered films, Varma claimed that older formats would now seem outdated and even silly. He added, "In comparison to this new style of hero, the perfect heroes will suddenly appear foolish, almost like clowns at a circus. And their blind followers will feel vulnerable and anxious when they hear about the box office numbers. " The filmmaker also criticized unrealistic action scenes, saying such movies would find it hard to resonate with audiences after the impact of Dhurandhar 2. Varma stated, "Dhurandhar2 will frighten those who have built their careers on action scenes where physical laws don't apply, and gravity is ignored. The moments where men are tossed fifty feet into the air, bounce off the ground like rubber balls, survive explosions that could destroy cities, and still have heroic lines while brushing off dirt, will be chased away by the new audience. " According to Varma, the film has changed what viewers expect by showing action that feels real, painful, and relatable. He concluded, "Once audiences witness action that actually hurts and bleeds, the flying stunt team will suddenly seem cheap, fake, and embarrassingly silly. Filmmakers who still rely on wires and cranes to falsely elevate their heroes will wake up in fear. " Varma also criticized directors who prioritize style rather than substance, suggesting that Dhurandhar 2 highlights the significance of having psychologically rich characters. He remarked, "This will make pan-India directors nervous, those who still think characters are made by hairstyles, outfits, edited abs, and fancy clothes rather than real mental depth. " Highlighting the film's message about the power of intelligence, Varma said, "When the viewers of Dhurandhar2 saw a hero who gains strength from his intellect instead of his muscles, the style of filmmaking that focuses on hair and outfits will seem like child’s play. " Describing the movie as more than just a film, Varma called it a definitive statement on a specific filmmaking style. He noted, "Dhurandhar 2 is not merely a movie; it is a judgment. " Complimenting director Aditya Dhar's perspective, Varma concluded by stating that the film signifies the end of a time when filmmakers underestimated their audience. He mentioned, "With Dhurandhar 2, @AdityaDharFilms has put an end to that type of cinema which disrespected audience intelligence, which swapped genuine stories for flashy visuals, and which turned heroes into deities and viewers into followers. " Talking about the film’s earnings, Varma expressed, "The box office results of Dhurandhar2 are currently putting to rest all those previous makers’ beliefs deep in a grave that not even their spirits can escape from. The sounds you're hearing from the box office numbers of Dhurandhar2 are like a collective announcement of their demise. " He finished his statement with a caution for filmmakers currently making similar types of movies. Varma wrote, "If those producers of similar films that are either in production or about to begin filming don't revisit their plans and cleanse themselves by watching Dhurandhar2 several times, even divine intervention won't help their spirits. The issue is, even if they want to do that, they might have plenty of money, but where will they find the cleverness of @AdityaDharFilms? " Dhurandhar 2 premiered in theaters on March 19.

ODI World Cup 2027 Probables Decided By BCCI March 20, 2026 17:04

The BCCI selectors have already focused on about 20 potential players for the ODI World Cup 2027, and they will monitor their performance during the IPL 2026 season, according to a report from PTI. Even though the World Cup is still a year away, a BCCI insider informed PTI that the selectors already have a preliminary list of players. The members of the selection panel are expected to attend several games throughout the season. IPL 2026 is set to start on March 28, featuring Royal Challengers Bengaluru versus Sunrisers Hyderabad in Bengaluru. The BCCI insider mentioned that the selection group, made up of SS Das, RP Singh, Ajay Ratra, and Pragyan Ojha, will be present at the stadium and will also watch the IPL matches on television. "The BCCI aims for each selector to observe at least one match each week, which takes care of five matches per week from the stadium. Otherwise, they can watch on TV," the official commented. The report also stated that it is unlikely for the selectors to consider the LA Olympics or the T20 World Cup 2028 while evaluating players during the IPL season. They are not expected to be on the lookout for any emerging stars for the World Cup. While Harshit Rana will need more time to heal from his knee injury, the four fast bowlers being observed include Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Arshdeep Singh, along with the all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The selection committee seems unlikely to sacrifice team strength for the one-off Test against Afghanistan in Mullanpur from June 6 to 10, despite it not offering World Test Championship points. It is expected that with nine Tests scheduled from August to March, all the leading players in red-ball cricket, including the main bowlers, will be ready for the match. Moreover, Bumrah and Siraj will still be part of the Afghanistan squad, unless they face any injuries during the IPL. "The India Test cap isn't meant for testing new players. For that, we have India A tours.
