Telegram Gained 70 Million Users after WhatsApp and Facebook Went Down

The entire world is left in the pause after Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram got crashed. The issue got resolved in six hours and Mark Zuckerberg lost big during this fall. Another social media platform Telegram gained big because of the crash of WhatsApp. Telegram added 70 million users during this time. As per the update, 3.5 billion users were impacted because of the crash and the users decided to use Telegram during this crash. Another social media platform Signal too gained big because of the crash. Pavel Durov, the CEO of Telegram informed that 70 million users after WhatsApp and Facebook went down.

"I am proud of how our team handled the unprecedented growth because Telegram continued to work flawlessly for the vast majority of our users. That said, some users in the Americas may have experienced slower speed than usual as millions of users from these continents rushed to sign up for Telegram at the same time" told Pavel Durov in an official statement. Telegram also got 1 billion downloads and it has 500 million active users. Signal also got several new users during this crash and also after WhatsApp was under security scrutiny. There are talks that Facebook and WhatsApp happened due to the cyber attack. Facebook issued a clarification that the data of the users was never compromised.
