The Oppo Pad Mini is set to be released in China next week. Oppo revealed the official teasers for the new Android tablet on Wednesday. The teaser video discloses information about its design, battery, and screen features. It is expected to have an 8.8-inch screen and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. The Oppo Pad Mini might be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Oppo seems to be aiming to compete with Apple's iPad Mini with this smaller tablet. Teasers shared by Oppo executive Qiao Jiadong on Weibo have confirmed that the Oppo Pad Mini will be launched in China on April 21. The small tablet will be introduced along with the Oppo Pad 5 Pro. The company has also begun taking pre-orders for the tablet through its online shop in China. One of the teaser videos shows the executive at an airport, displaying the Oppo Pad Mini. The design of the tablet is similar to that of a smartphone, featuring a hole-punch camera for selfies at the top. It has slim and equal-sized edges all around. The tablet is confirmed to be lightweight and thin, and it seems to come with an OLED screen and an 8,000mAh battery. It has a flat back panel with a single rear camera.

The Oppo Pad Mini is expected to compete with Apple’s iPad Mini and Xiaomi Pad Mini that has an 8.8-inch screen. Earlier leaks indicated that the Oppo Pad Mini would include an 8.8-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits, and a 3:2 ratio. It is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. On the back side, the Oppo Pad Mini is rumored to have a 13-megapixel camera. It should support 67W fast charging. The tablet may be 5.39mm thick and weigh around 279g. Oppo is anticipated to offer the tablet in dark cyan, gray, and purple colors. Meanwhile, Oppo has planned to launch the Oppo Enco Clip 2 and Oppo Watch X3 Mini in China on April 21. The Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro are also expected to be introduced during the same event.
