Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro were recently launched in China by the tech company in October. Now, the company is said to be ready to introduce another phone in the Honor Magic 8 family, as its major specifications have been shared online. This device, likely to be called the Honor Magic 8 Mini, is anticipated to be a smaller version in the series. It may come with a 6.31-inch flat screen. Additionally, it is expected to run on the leading 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC. A source known as Digital Chat Station on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, has revealed important details about an upcoming "ultra-thin" series phone. GSMArena states that this rumored device might be named the Honor Magic 8 Mini. However, the Chinese phone manufacturer has not yet confirmed the release of this supposed smaller Magic 8 series phone.
The Honor Magic 8 Mini is believed to feature the newly released flagship 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC. This is notable because the other two models in the series, Honor Magic 8 Pro and Magic 8, have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is also made with a 3nm process. This implies that the Magic 8 Mini could offer top-tier performance within a smaller size. It may have a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO display with a flat screen. The Honor Magic 8 Mini might also include a main camera with 200 megapixels on the back, which could possibly be “reduced” to a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.5-inch sensor. The rumored phone may also include a telephoto lens. According to the source, the device will be equipped with a battery of 5,370mAh, which might be marketed as 5,500mAh. The Honor Magic 8 Mini is said to have a thickness of 5mm to 6mm, making it slimmer than both the Magic 8 Pro and Magic 8. The regular model has a thickness of 7.95mm, while the Pro model is 8.32mm thick. Additional details about the phone are expected to appear online in the upcoming months.
