The Vivo Y31 series has been introduced in India as the newest part of the company’s Y-series, as stated on Monday. The new collection features the Vivo Y31 5G and the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G. The standard model will be launched in the country with two RAM options, whereas the Pro version will come with different storage choices. The Vivo Y31 5G includes a dual-camera setup at the back along with an LED flash, while the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G has a triple-camera arrangement. Both smartphones will be offered in two distinct colors. The Vivo Y31 5G is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the basic model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the upgraded version with 6GB of RAM and the same storage will be available for Rs. 16,499. This model will be offered in Rose Red and Diamond Green colors. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G is set at a price of Rs. 18,999 for the initial 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The model with 256GB storage and the same RAM will be priced at Rs. 20,999 in India. It will be available in Mocha Brown and Dreamy White. Both devices can be purchased through Flipkart, the official website, and physical retail stores.
Consumers will also have the choice to receive an instant cashback of up to Rs. 1,500 or opt for eight months of no-interest EMI plans using credit and debit cards from SBI Bank, DBS, IDFC First Bank, Yes Bank, Federal Bank, and Bank of Baroda. The Vivo Y31 5G is a dual-SIM smartphone that operates on Android 15 with FuntouchOS 15. It features a 6.68-inch LCD display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, a resolution of 1,608x720 pixels, a pixel density of 264ppi, 83 percent NTSC color gamut, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.
It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip crafted on a 4nm process, which includes two high-performance cores that reach up to 2.2GHz and six efficiency cores peaking at 1.95GHz. Vivo’s latest device can come with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, which can be increased to 2TB using a microSD card. The phone has IP68 and IP69 ratings, providing dust and water resistance.
In terms of cameras, the Vivo Y31 5G has a dual-rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) main lens and a 0.08-megapixel (f/3.0) secondary lens. It includes an 8-megapixel (f/2.0) selfie camera on the front. The rear camera supports underwater photography as well. For connectivity, the Vivo Y31 5G offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a USB 2.0 Type-C port, GPS, OTG, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. The device is equipped with sensors such as an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, and an e-compass. It has a 6,500mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. The dimensions of the handset are 166.14x77.01x8.39mm, and it weighs approximately 209g. Additionally, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone.
Regarding the details of the Pro model, the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 15 with FuntouchOS 15. It features a somewhat larger 6.72-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2,408×1,080 pixels, offers a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, has a pixel density of 383ppi, and covers 83 percent of the NTSC color range. The display is said to reach a maximum brightness of 1,050 nits in high brightness mode.
The Vivo device is equipped with a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which includes four high-performance cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz, along with four efficient cores reaching a clock speed of 2.0GHz. This processor is supported by 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and can have up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, with the option to increase the RAM by an additional 8GB. The rear camera setup is the same as that on the standard version of the phone, and both models feature identical selfie cameras. For connectivity options, the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.
It also includes a fingerprint sensor located on the side. Both versions of the phone have identical battery size and charging capabilities. The Mocha Brown variant measures 165.7×76.3×8.09mm and weighs approximately 204g, while the Dreamy White version is a bit thicker and heavier, at 8.19mm and about 208g.
