Xiaomi has officially announced when the Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone will launch in China. It is set to be unveiled alongside the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric vehicle in the brand’s home country. Official images that showcase the design of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra have also been shared by the company. This new smartphone is confirmed to feature cameras branded by Leica and will run on the HyperOS interface. Additionally, the technology firm is preparing to reveal its camera flagship globally at MWC 2025.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is scheduled to debut in China on February 27 at 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST). Alongside the smartphone, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric vehicle, RedmiBook 16 Pro 2025, and Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro earbuds will all be announced at the same event. The brand is currently teasing the phone's design on its Weibo account and the official Chinese website.
Pre-orders for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra are now open through Mi Mall in China. The official graphics depict the device with a unique dual-tone finish. It features a circular rear camera arrangement, echoing the camera setups seen in previous flagship models of the Xiaomi Ultra series. The camera configuration consists of four sensors accompanied by an LED flash strip. The design appears to blend glass and vegan leather, paying tribute to traditional Leica cameras. An italicized ‘Ultra’ branding is prominently displayed on the rear panel in the top-right corner. This new model is set to succeed last year’s Xiaomi 14 Ultra and is confirmed to make its global appearance during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on March 2.
Previously, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was spotted on the Geekbench AI database, revealing that it will be equipped with the Android 15 operating system, 16GB of RAM, and an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Reports indicate that it will boast a quad rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor, and a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor capable of 4.3x optical zoom. The device is also expected to adhere to IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
